Nativity Art Session

Christmas is such a fun time to do crafts. We will be working on fine motor skills with gluing and folding and threading.

Christmas is a super-busy time, so if you need some things to keep your littles entertained, Here is a website with lots of fun ideas. And below are 3 helpful sites about having more Jesus and less stress with preschoolers at Christmas.

One year, when our kids were 4, 10, and 12, I made a survey for our kids. I listed all the things we do or try to do during the holidays and had them rate them on a scale of 1-10, 10 being they really love doing it and 1 being they would rather not do it. If all three kiddos were 8+ on something it immediately went on the schedule. If all three were below a 3, we decided to skip it. Or, for example, if seeing Christmas lights was a 9 for one and just a 2 for the others, we made a special trip for the one. Some of their answers surprised me. And they allowed us to – guilt free! – get rid of some of the busyness and just do what was important to the family. It really refocused our holiday season.
