Do unto others …
The Golden Rule comes from Matthew 7:12. “In everything, do unto others what you would want them to do to you.” It says treat people like you want them to treat you. Not, treat people like they treat you.
Jesus Session: We use the example today of being on the swing. You’re on the swing and someone else is waiting for a turn. What should you do? Let them think. Then ask what they would want if the roles were reversed. Let them know that is the behavior Jesus wants of us.
Art Session: Let’s make a swing set!
You will need:
- Template (below)
- Card stock
- Straws
- Yarn
- Crayons/markers
- Hole punch
- Scissor
- Glue

Music Session: Choose a song they know and like. Give a few kids instruments – shaker, maracas, etc.. Let them use them while singing. Then ask if they think other people would like a turn. Encourage them to share and sing again.
